On March 16th, 2017, Cisco Umbrella will release Umbrella Insights Virtual Appliance (VA) version 1.5.6 to customers on our stage release track. Only customers on the stage track who have already received version 1.5.5 will receive the upgrade at this time.
Provided there are no issues seen with this initial release, all remaining customers with the 1.5.4 version of the VA will see their VAs upgrade directly to 1.5.6 over the course of the next couple of weeks. The first wave of customers on the production tracks will receive this upgrade on March 20th, 2017. The final wave of customers will receive upgrades by March 29th, 2017.
As a reminder, two VAs must be configured in order to upgrade automatically during these windows.
CHANGE SUMMARY (1.5.4 or 1.5.5 to 1.5.6)
- Suppress kern.log output from the console to prevent noise and confusion
- Resolves issues with incorrect memory management (memory leak) in opendns-sync process
- Resolves issues with data partitions filling up with incomplete upgrades.
- Revert a change in the SSH connectivity test for the opendns-support tunnel that was introduced in version 1.5.4. The behavior is now the same as in version 1.5.2 of the VA.
