CHANGE SUMMARY (2.0.35 to 2.0.39)
- Added support for a new feature that reports the Active Directory user identity when the Umbrella roaming client is off the AD network. Note this feature is currently in limited availability. If you would like to find out more, please contact your Umbrella account representative.
- Added UI details to menu bar's drop down to indicate if user is AD bound.
- Resolved some IP layer enforcement VPN tunnel start/stop issues.
- Added a 5 minute wait for IP layer enforcement's tunnel start after first time tunnel registration. (This allows avoidance of potential VPN connection pop-ups as new VPN tunnel registration provisioning can sometimes take several minutes to complete.)
- Added handling for a potential probing error.
- Improved sync interval to never exceed once per 15 seconds.
- Improved probe handling for network environments where both IPv6 and IPv4 resolvers are present.
- Added support for migration of roaming clients between organizations without reinstallation.
- Improvements to logging.
CHANGE SUMMARY (2.0.31 to 2.0.35)
- Improved the probe test for a customer's networks. The probe test now verifies, first, that the domain name provided by the customer for the customer probe resolves to a private IP address, and, second, that the response for a lookup of debug.opendns.com returns no answers. The first test is to identify whether or not the ISP redirects unknown domain names (NXDOMAIN) to an advertising page (which would have public IP addresses). The second test verifies that the network to which the customer is connected does not have a captive portal (which would return a private IP address sending the browser to a login page). If both tests succeed, the customer probe test passes.
CHANGE SUMMARY (2.0.28 to 2.0.31)
- Added new feature for reporting the Active Directory user identity when the Umbrella roaming client is off the AD network.
- Properly honor no-recursion DNS flag setting for customer network probing.
CHANGE SUMMARY (2.0.27 to 2.0.28)
- Improved probe mechanism for establishing the roaming client's state after network change events. Probes will be reset if any IP address on any active network interface, any DNS setting on any network interface, or the set of active network interfaces has changed.
- Implemented millisecond precision for probe telemetry.
- The roaming client is now prevented from sending probes to IPv6 networks.
- Improved checks for virtual network adapters when determining the nature of a network change event. DNS probing will restart if new virtual network adapters are detected or existing ones removed.
