On Thursday November 9th, 2017 Cisco Umbrella will release version 1.1.19 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component) to the stage track.
On Monday November 12th, 2017 Cisco Umbrella released version 1.1.19 to the first production wave. No issues have been seen and the release will continue to the remaining production tracks over the next 2 to 3 weeks.
The 1.1.18 upgrade was halted due to issues seen when versions of the .NET framework were missing: https://support.umbrella.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005297183
As such, customers on later waves of the release cycle (after the stage and first production waves) will be receiving changes from both the 1.1.16 and 1.1.18 releases.
CHANGE SUMMARY (1.1.18 to 1.1.19):
- Resolves an issue upgrading from 1.1.16 when older version of the .NET framework are not on the machine where the connector is installed.
CHANGE SUMMARY (1.1.16 to 1.1.18):
- The Connector now checks to ensure WMI connections to domain controllers (DC) are reliable and re-establishes them if not. If no login events are observed for a longer than expected period of time, the WMI connection to the problematic DC or DCs is reset. In the past, this may have had to be done manually.
