Cisco has released AnyConnect 4.10 MR7 (4.10.07061) at software.cisco.com
On Tuesday, May 30th 2023, it was deployed for organizations with cloud update enabled.
Enhancements:
- SWG module now remains enabled when a Virtual Appliance is detected, regardless of DNS backoff setting (CSCwe22036)
- Windows: Reduced DNS probes to local resolvers when Virtual Appliance Detection and Protected Network Detection are both disabled
- Windows: Reduced frequency of DNS probes to local resolvers when there are no network state changes
- Windows: Eliminate unnecessary DNS probe queries when duplicate local resolvers are detected
- macOS: Added support for dashboard-controlled VA detection setting
Bug Fixes:
- Fix several conditions where DNS protection would fail when DNS requests were sent over TCP
- Improved captive portal detection in SWG module on slow network connections, such as in-flight Wi-Fi (CSCwe86049)
- Added captive portal detection logic in SWG module when captive portal returns non-success HTTP status code (CSCwe86049)
- Fixed an issue where DNS caching would cause some domains to fail to load after SWG module started, especially those with a long TTL or when queried over encrypted DNS (CSCwd84695)
- Fixed an issue with user-based policy when the username had Turkish or Romanian alphabet characters
- Windows: Fixed some situations where DNS module would crash
- Windows: Fixed a UDP socket leak
- Windows: Better support for handling DNS queries over TCP over the same TCP connection
- Windows: Fixed an issue where Umbrella agent would crash when there was a high rate of socket errors (CSCwe07816)
- macOS: Fixed an issue causing slow web browsing in SWG module (CSCwe70156)
- macOS: Fixed DNS resolution issue on macOS 13+ when DDR-enabled local DNS resolvers were present (CSCwe43455)
Known Issues:
- DNS security module may periodically lose protection or connectivity. Resolved in 4.10.07073 and 5.0.03072
