Update: We're pleased to announce that the previously reported issue affecting customers with email addresses containing a mix of upper and lower-case letters, who were transitioning to the Cisco Security for Chromebook Client, has been successfully resolved.
The issue was related to a recognized behavior of Chrome OS, which led to discrepancies in email casing during the synchronization process with Google Workspace and the creation of the DoH URL. This discrepancy could result in a hash mismatch and potential dropping of user traffic by the Umbrella Policy engine.
This was a known behaviour of Chrome OS and was escalated to Google. We're happy to report that the issue has now been fixed.
Consequently, customers with mixed case email addresses can now proceed with their migration to the Cisco Security for Chromebook Client.
