When trying to use a bypass code to bypass a block page, you may get an error. For details on the Block Page Bypass feature, see our documentation.
There are a couple settings to check when experiencing a bypass code problem.
Is the code linked to the correct policy?
Bypass codes only affect the policies they apply to. You can check if your bypass codes apply to any policies under Admin > Bypass Codes.
If you try to use a code that isn't applied to the policy you're getting, it won't work.
Is the code expired?
Bypass codes expire. You can check your code's expiry date under Admin > Bypass Codes.
If the problem persists, contact our Support team for help at https://support.umbrella.com.
Is the block due to application control?
Bypass codes and users can't be used to bypass application control blocks. You can verify the block reason by reviewing your activity logs.
