On October 16th, 2014, OpenDNS released version 1.1.11 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component).
The upgrades for these connectors will take place automatically within your upgrade window set in the Dashboard. You can change your upgrade window on the Sites & Active Directory page (https://dashboard2.opendns.com/#configuration/systemsettings/adconfiguration). If you wish to upgrade manually, you can download the new version from that page and install it immediately.
Change Summary (1.1.9 to 1.1.11)
- The Connector will now only attempt to read Active Directory structure of the domain that it is registered to. There is no longer a need to add permissions for the OpenDNS_Connector user on all domains with which the target domain has a trust relationship.
- Fixed a bug in which the Connector could stop syncing due to an error; it will now report this error and continue to sync.
- The Connector will now attempt to determine its domain multiple times, rather than stopping after a single failure.
- Minor cleanup of Connector log files.
