Umbrella Active Directory Connector - Version 1.14

On Monday, 14^th October 2024, Cisco Umbrella will release version 1.14.4 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component) to the final wave of production.

On Monday, 7^th October 2024, Cisco Umbrella will release version 1.14.4 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component) to the second and third waves of production.

On Monday, 30^th September 2024, Cisco Umbrella will release version 1.14.4 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component) to the first wave of production.

On Tuesday, 24^th September 2024, Cisco Umbrella will release version 1.14.4 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component) to the stage track.

On Tuesday, 13^th August 2024, Cisco Umbrella will release version 1.14.3 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component) to the second and third waves of production.

On Thursday, 25^th July 2024, Cisco Umbrella will release version 1.14.3 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component) to the first wave of production.

On Thursday, 18^th July 2024, Cisco Umbrella will release version 1.14.3 of the Active Directory Connector (the Windows Service component) to the stage track.  

Change Summary (Active Directory Connector 1.13.8 to 1.14.3 to 1.14.4)

• Introduces Enhanced Authentication for Active Directory Connector.
• Introduces support for manually-provided LDIFs as an alternate to Active Directory.
• Includes branding changes that will impact service description, program name, executables, some file/ folders names and locations.
• For supporting real-time end user notification feature used in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), AD Connector will start capturing the Email-ID field.
• For supporting Device ID for AD Computers, AD Connector will start capturing the following additional fields: Common Name and Host Name (only for Computers).

Note: As we encountered some issues during the upgrade from 1.13.8 to 1.14.3 in Production 1, Production 2 and Production 3 tracks, 1.14.3 will not be released to final Production track, instead patch 1.14.4 is being rolled out.

AD Connectors which are in 1.14.3 they will upgrade to 1.14.4, whereas the AD Connectors which are still in 1.13.8 will directly upgrade to 1.14.4
