As we continue to improve Umbrella, including adding more reports and ways to understand your data, we’ve focused on creating a robust method for scheduling emailed versions of the reports that you find useful. At this point, the reporting of all activity for any given identity can be scheduled, and as a result, we will be retiring the legacy daily stats email for network identities.
As a reminder, the daily stats email only applied to network identities, and could be set on the network identities page:
This feature will be removed for users who are not currently using it, effective immediately. For those customers still using the legacy daily stats email, we will be removing the feature on February 28th, 2018 in order to allow you time to schedule our other reports for your network identities.
You can find detailed instructions for scheduling reports in our documentation:
For those customers wishing to replace the specific reports that were contained in the legacy daily stats email, we would recommend scheduling the following reports for your network identities:
Total Requests - Total requests for destinations from your organization over the selected time period. Filterable by identity.
Top Domains - Total requests for destinations from your organization over the selected time period. Filterable by identity.
Security Activity - Security-related activity in your environment, including malware, command and control, and all other security categories over the selected time period. Filterable by identity, destination, source IP, and security category.
In addition, our Identities report provides an excellent overview of a given identity, and can be used as a starting point for discovering more detailed reports in which you may be interested.
Once you have scheduled the reports you prefer, we encourage you to disable the legacy daily stats email for your networks. All legacy daily stats emails will be disabled on February 28th, 2018
