Overview
This article talks about what it means when your network status is showing up as "Pending verification" when you submit a network as following: (Deployments -> Networks)
.
Explanation
When you are seeing such status, a ticket will get generated and sent directly to Umbrella Support for verification. This process helps us:
- Ensure there are no network conflict between our customers (For example, 193.20.0.1/32 would conflict with 193.20.0.0/24 because it is within the subnet)
- To confirm the ownership of the IP
Please note: There is no interaction required on your end unless Umbrella requires a documentation for proof of ownership of this IP.
What happens after Umbrella verifies your network?
You may see your network status shows as Inactive. This is normal as the network will take 4 hours to propagate and show as Active upon verification. If the network continues to show as Inactive after 24 hours. Please refer to the following article for the potential cause: Network Status: Inactive Over the Past 24hrs
Please note: even though the network is showing as Inactive the first 4 hours, you still have the ability to apply policies to the Network identity.
