Roaming Client for Windows – Version 2.2.150

On Thursday December 13, 2018, Cisco Umbrella will release the Umbrella roaming client for Windows version 2.2.150 for all customers on the stage release track.

On Wednesday January 9, 2019, Cisco Umbrella will release the Umbrella roaming client for Windows version 2.2.150 for all customers on the first wave of the release track.

On Wednesday January 16, 2019, Cisco Umbrella will release the Umbrella roaming client for Windows version 2.2.150 for all customers on the second wave of the release track.

On Wednesday January 23, 2019, Cisco Umbrella will release the Umbrella roaming client for Windows version 2.2.150 for all customers on the third wave of the release track.

On Wednesday January 30, 2019, Cisco Umbrella will release the Umbrella roaming client for Windows version 2.2.150 for all customers on the final wave of the release track.

CHANGE SUMMARY (2.2.109 to 2.2.150)

• Improved verification of network state for IPv6 DNS protection.
• Fixed taskbar UI to correctly display IPv4 details when no IPv6 connectivity is available.
• Improved detection when third party programs interfere with Umbrella roaming client's DNS queries, blocking its A and AAAA records. Taskbar UI now informs the user if A and AAAA records are being blocked.
• Improved IP Layer protection list retrieval.
• dnscrypt-proxy now shuts down if the protocol stack is unavailable.
• Fixed DNS timeout override to work with both IPv4 and IPv6 network stacks.
• Site-local anycast DNS resolvers are now ignored as per https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3879. The roaming client's behavior has been changed to explicitly ignore any local resolvers with obsolete site-local anycast addresses (fec0::/10).
• Improved logging around network stack detection.
• Additional diagnostic logging added for network probes.
• Added TLS 1.2 support when proper .NET framework is detected.
