Introduction and existing format in 4.8 MR1 or earlier
Beginning in AnyConnect 4.8 MR2, the Umbrella module graphical interface will be receiving a simplified state update. The current state of the client will be simplified from a detailed state into a basic on or off state. The existing status message (below) will no longer display DNS protection state or encryption state in the main interface.

New Interface Format in 4.8 MR2
Beginning in 4.8 MR2, the AnyConnect roaming security module will be getting a new graphical interface with a simplified state to accommodate an increasing number of component states. To view a detailed state status including DNS IPv4, DNS IPv6, and SWG states, click the graph icon (Mac) or gear icon (Windows) at the bottom of the AnyConnect window.
In this update, the color of the icon will indicate if DNS coverage is active. The text will reflect if the module is active and registered; however, it will not reflect the protection status.

In the above images (Mac client) , the red state is a running module in the Unprotected state. The second image with the green state is protected and encrypted just like the example above from 4.8 MR1.
