On Thursday, February 10, 2022, Cisco Umbrella will release Virtual Appliance (VA) version 3.2.3 to the stage track. This is a patch release and will not cause the VA to restart.
Customer VAs may upgrade over a period of days as opposed to consecutively upgrading one after another. To receive this upgrade, ensure that your firewall is configured to enable access to disthost.umbrella.com.
As a reminder, two VAs must be deployed in order to upgrade automatically during the upgrade window.
In accordance with Cisco policy, a list of open source software modules used in the VA is attached to these release notes. It contains licenses and notices for open source software used in this product.
CHANGE SUMMARY (3.2.2 to 3.2.3)
- Addition of SNMP OIDs for monitoring Queries per second on the VA for a 5 minute and 15 minute interval. New OIDs are .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.1.3.2.4.1.2.4.113.112.115.53 (QPS over previous 5 minutes) and .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.1.3.2.4.1.2.5.113.112.115.49.53 (QPS over previous 15 minutes).
CHANGE SUMMARY (3.2.1 to 3.2.2)
- For VAs configured with an Anycast IP address, if the VA loses its binding to the Anycast IP after the upgrade, this patch will trigger the binding to the Anycast IP address.
CHANGE SUMMARY (3.2.0 to 3.2.1)
- Enhancements to the forwarding module to prevent occasional crashes.
CHANGE SUMMARY (3.1.3 to 3.2.0)
- Display of certificate expiry on the command 'config logexport status' when TLS is enabled for remote logging.
- Addresses issue of SSH not being enabled for VAs deployed in Bahrain region of AWS
- Support for accelerated receipt of user login events from Umbrella AD connectors running version 1.8 and above.
- Support for conditional forwarding of internal domains to specific internal DNS servers. The 'config localdns add' command now supports internal domains as a parameter in addition to the local DNS server. The internal domain specified here must also be part of the internal domain list configured on the Umbrella dashboard. If a local DNS server is mapped to specific internal domains, it will resolve only those domains, and DNS queries for those domains will be forwarded only to its mapped local DNS server.
