Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Managed Service Provider (MSP) contracts with OpenDNS. The last day for an MSP to renew an existing subscription under the OpenDNS MSP program and contract is July 31, 2022. Commencing on August 1, 2022, most partners that want to continue as an MSP may migrate to the Cisco Secure Managed Service Provider (MSP) Center under Cisco Umbrella DNS-Essentials / DNS-Advantage prior to the MSP’s renewal date. Additionally, partners may sign up for Cisco Managed Service License Agreements (MSLA) through distribution. Annual auto-renewal processes will be disabled on OpenDNS starting August 1, 2022.
You will be notified at least 90 days (about 3 months) prior to your next scheduled subscription renewal on next steps in migrating to the Cisco Secure MSP Center. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s).
Cisco Secure Managed Service Provider Center is a direct route-to-market platform that offers a new buying model to buy Cisco Secure SaaS (Software as a Service) products directly from Cisco through streamlined credit-card transactions. The Umbrella DNS-Essentials and Umbrella DNS-Advantage products are the first of many Cisco Security products available on the Cisco Secure MSP Center. The Cisco Secure MSP Center has a tiered monthly consumption model, so you only pay for the number of seats you use!
