Update: This essential maintenance is now resolved and the affected services are operational again. Please contact Cisco Umbrella Support if you require technical assistance with your Cisco Umbrella deployment. Thank you.
Update: The current maintenance is proceeding as planned. However, some maintenance tasks are taking longer than expected. We are extending this maintenance window by an hour (i.e. 18:00 UTC). We will post another update when this maintenance is officially completed.
On Saturday October 15, 2022 Umbrella will be performing essential maintenance on a number of systems. The maintenance window is currently scheduled for 14:00 to 17:00 UTC.
During the maintenance window, the following effects could be noticed by customers:
- Umbrella dashboards and consoles will be unavailable. Users will see a "down for maintenance" http status code 503 page.
- If rebooted, computers running the Cisco AnyConnect Umbrella Roaming Security Module with the SWG Agent will not be able to register/re-register with Umbrella. Because of this, the SWG Agent will fail open rather than being proxied by Umbrella.
-
Some Umbrella API requests may return 503 errors. Please retry the requests after the maintenance window expires.
-
Device registrations will fail, and will need to be retried after the maintenance is complete.
Please note that the following will NOT be affected by the maintenance:
- Umbrella DNS resolution
- Policy enforcement (DNS, Web, Firewall, Data Loss Prevention)
- Umbrella reporting
Once the maintenance is complete, the Cisco Security Service Status page will be updated.
